The most extensive and the second highest mountains in Slovak republic are the Low Tatras mountains. Its highest peak is Dumbier with height 2043 meters above sea level. Beside the Vysoke Tatry mountains the Low Tatras mountains are distinguished turist and skiing center.
A great massif mainly consists granite rock. Under the peak of Dumbier we can see more than 500m high sloping cliff faces and throughs with glacier basins at the bottom.
A modest tourist ridgeway crosses the peak which begins at the top station of the Chopok cableway.
